Nine

Artist Statement
For my first exhibition in the United States, I wanted to create something both symbolic and unique.

'Nine' offered a special format: nine paintings, each 30 x 30 cm. I chose to approach this constraint as an opportunity — by creating nine pieces that come together to form a single, unified image. Like fragments of a larger dream, each painting holds its place in the whole, while also standing alone, telling its own story with its own rhythm and emotion.

I imagined my signature character — the Human of Glass — evolving within a world of clouds and bubbles, a suspended universe somewhere between reverie and weightlessness. These elements, symbols of escape, fragility, and transformation, allowed me to explore new emotional tones and narrative dynamics, while remaining true to the softness, symbolism, and poetry that define my work.

With this series, I invite viewers to move from one scene to another, to read between the bubbles, and to feel the quiet continuity that ties the nine panels together. Whether seen as a whole or individually, I hope each piece offers a space to breathe, to reflect, and perhaps, to dream.
