Artist Statement
For my participation in “10”, I wanted to continue the exploration I began in Rome around cardboard — a simple, fragile, and universal material deeply connected to childhood and imagination.

Through it, I reflect on our early ability to invent worlds, to build shelters, to transform everyday objects into spaces of escape. My character, the Human of Glass, moves among these makeshift constructions — poetic yet precarious — like metaphors for our need to dream, to play, and to be resilient.

Presenting this body of work in Chicago, as part of Vertical Gallery’s 10th anniversary show, is a chance to share this ongoing narrative with a new audience — at a meaningful moment in my journey, just before my first solo exhibition in the United States. It’s a way to build a bridge between what began elsewhere, and what’s about to begin here.
